In January 2003, the European Union passed the “Restriction on Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment,” also known as the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC. The RoHS Directive regulates six hazardous materials (Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium, Lead, Mercury, Polybrominated Biphenyls, and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers) used in electrical and electronic equipment.
PerkinElmer Optoelectronics is committed to achieving full compliance before the RoHS Directive becomes effective (July 1, 2006) unless the products are considered exempt under the legislation.
Many PerkinElmer RoHS compliant products are currently available, and some compliant products may have new part numbers. We have developed a part number look up tool to provide you with the new part number (if changed). PerkinElmer would like to assist you in your product selection. Please contact PerkinElmer Customer Support to request your RoHS compliant part.
Products in the medical devices and military equipment categories are currently exempted. For more information regarding exempted categories, go to the EU website
